Two new publications: Anthology and eFiction India

First news that I received about two weeks ago, was that the Scarlet Leaf Review has decided to publish an anthology and my story Firestone will be in it! I still don't have an exact date, but it will be available in print and as an ebook. I'm looking forward to receiving a copy and seeing what it looks like.

Today I was notified that my story Please Bow Before Her Majesty the Pound Sterling will be pubished in eFiction India. This will be the third story of mine the Indian magazine publishes. It seems I'm appreciated in India! I wrote this story about a year ago, and I submitted it immediately. So I'd been waiting for a response for a year... I have never waited that long before, but at least it was well worth it.

After it comes out (on June 7, they say), I will post the short story in my published work section for you to read. The idea for this story emerged as I was reading Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, and it addresses the inner conflict between morals and physical needs. The protagonist is put in a situation where he must either commit a crime or find himself homeless and penniless. He is a good guy by nature, which makes the struggle all the more difficult. I hope you'll enjoy it!
